What is Bailey's and who are Al and Pamela Mariano?

We have always been believers in community. Pamela feeling the need to help has spearheaded several successful fund raising campaigns in the past. So having the NM Burger here at Bailey's, where a portion of the proceeds support local charities, is a way to continue giving to the community, at the same time, offering our patron's one of the best burgers they'll ever have. We are sure you'll agree, "Charity never tasted so good!" The concept of a restaurant like Bailey's Bar & Grille has been evolving in our minds for many years. Pam and I have on occasion, been disappointed in one way or another with the dining experiences that we have had, over the nearly 31 years that we have been together. Bailey's chef, Paul Lorenzen a 30 year veteran in the culinary arts, together with input from Al and Pam, developed the many menu offerings. Chef Paul, as we call him, has a freestyle way of cooking, though the taste and quality of the food is very consistent time after time, the dishes do not look cookie cutter like. You can plainly see that each dish is made to order.

We are constantly searching for and uncovering the best quality ingredients to use in our recipes. We are also constantly honing the skill of our wait-staff. Helping them to understand the importance of great customer service and a friendly, inviting atmosphere.

A commonly asked question is, "Where did the name Bailey's come from?"

This is the true story, Al had been running his family's business for ten or so years and Linda, one of Al's four sisters, always called him George Bailey, referring to the lead character from the movie, It's a Wonderful Life. In the movie George would always sacrifice his own dreams and ambitions to help his family and friends. Al's sister always felt that in some way Al was doing the same thing. Thus the name Bailey's Bar & Grille.

Prior to our opening, due to the name Bailey's, most people thought that the restaurant was going to be an Irish Pub when in reality it is a casual family dining establishment that includes a friendly, pub style bar. The hope for our restaurant is that it becomes your restaurant. In a nutshell we want everyone who comes to Bailey's to feel as this anonymous customer felt when they said on a comment card.
